Yasmin Osman is an Egyptian design practitioner and multidisciplinary artist who approaches every medium as a question of navigation: how does a person find their way from ambiguity to clarity?

A systems thinker and researcher by instinct, she begins by watching people in the places where they hesitate, whether on a screen, in a city, or in front of a page. Trained in graphic design at the German University in Cairo, with a seminar on orientation systems at HTW Berlin, she began in editorial, brand, and print work, from posters to woodblock, and silkscreen. She then spent five years at the agency Kit Vision, designing touchscreen and way-finding products for telecom, pharmaceutical, banking, and retail clients including Vodafone, Samsung, Opel, and Novo Nordisk.

She went on to join Munch:ON, a food delivery startup, as founding designer and grew into Head of Design. She built the design team from scratch, led three products (customer, vendor, and driver apps) alongside the design system and rebrand, and scaled the customer app to around 60,000 monthly orders in each of the UAE and KSA. Under her design leadership, the company was named one of Crunchbase’s 50 Hot Tech Companies Globally in 2019 and won Entrepreneur Middle East’s Homegrown Brand of the Year in 2020.

After Uber acquired Munch:ON, she was acqui-hired at Careem, the region’s first unicorn, as Senior Product Designer, where she led the end-to-end redesign of the food app for Saudi Arabia and shipped features across the UAE and Jordan that improved retention, conversion, and speed to order.

At Stryber, she co-founded Datacue, a B2B SaaS and AI venture in FMCG data analytics for Sanabil, the venture arm of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, and designed the visual identity for the Sanabil Venture Studio, accelerator, and scale-up.

She now designs sector-agnostic Agentic AI software for the government sector at AI71, part of Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council, where the route through a complex system is increasingly walked by an AI agent alongside the person.
